Bread box turned (polka dot) sewing storage box
Do you ever buy something because it’s cute, but have NO clue what you’re going to do with it? That is how I got this bread box.. My Mom bought it from a thrift store. Although at the time I wasn’t sure what I’d do with it, I knew I could find SOME use for it. :)
After brainstorming for a while, and looking online to see what other “Bread box to..” projects had been done (most people convert them into charging stations for their phones/Ipod/etc.) I decided that I would use mine to store all of my sewing tools.
So, here is the before..
LOVED the color, but wasn’t in love with the plain-ness. :)
And here it is now..
Adorable, right!?
All it took was some vinyl and my Cricut to cut out the circles. :)
Here are some shots of the inside..
Inside is my ruffler foot that my boss GAVE me (hence, her name is one it..ha!), Rotary cutter, fabric scissors, elastic, velcro, Fabri-tac, seam rippers, needles, and some Heat ‘N Bond.
So what do you think? It came with some canisters, as well. I am having a debate (with myself..lol!) as to whether or not I should give them a dotty transformation as well.. Hmm… :)

Insta Friday (On Saturday..again)
This time I am posting on Saturday because Jeannett didn’t put the party up until today! :)
Here is a look at our week through the lens of my camera phone:
Funny shirt we saw at TJ Maxx:
We heart OG bread sticks. :)
Trying to decide what free product to get since I hosted a Thirty One party.. Tough decision!
Micheal got free passes to the wildlife park from a customer, so we took the girls on Sunday.
A trip to HD to pick up some supplies for a project I’m working on. :)
One of the things we got at Home Depot:
Found these at our new Wal-Mart. Loooove them!
Lauren, playing contently with her little doll house. :)
Micheal asked me what was for dinner.. :)
Abby’s self portrait. :)
Um, have you tried these? AMAZING! For reals.
It got into the 40’s one night (I thought this was Florida??), so I decided to wear the girls’ Hello Kitty snuggie.
Abby got new Barbie skates and wanted Daddy to take her to the skate park. So, he did. :)
Old photo booth picture of myself, my Sister and my Niece. :)
We signed this girl up for pre-k on Thursday! (See below for more on that)
So, you Mom’s who already have school aged children probably already know this, but getting into pre-k isn’t a for sure thing. You don’t just sign up and your child gets in. You sign up, fill out paperwork, your child gets interviewed and THEN they decide if he/she gets in. I hear that they only let them in if you are low income OR if they really NEED to be in school to get ready for kindergarten.. Well, we aren’t low income and Abby is one smart cookie buuut she has been dying to go to school since she was 2! And I cannot see her being one month from turning 6 and just starting school. Just seems crazy to me. So please pray that she gets in!
Whew, that was way more than I intended to write..lol. If you want to follow me on Instagram, my user name is “katyapicello”. :)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tickled Pink #95
Hellllooo! And welcome to another week of Tickled Pink!
As always, features first, then we will get to the party. Sound good? :)
I have not used washi tape (YET!), but this post from The Elephant’s Trunk about washi tape crafting is making me want to run out and buy some so I can make something cute with it! ;)
Life on Mars has a bunch of great tips for painting fabric. LOVE the spray painted curtains!!
Don’t these cheesecake brownies from My Happy Place look delicious!? Mmmm..
This post from Start at Home shows how she transformed her daughter’s room.. It turned out gorgeous!
This post by Emmy Mom has a lot of great tips for making the perfect cake from a box mix!
ALSO, there was no picture on the post, but you must watch House Talk’ns video HERE. So funny!
That is all of the features from me this week! I don’t think Holly will be featuring anyone this week. She is off in NYC hanging out with Sandra Lee (from Semi-Homemade). Are you so jealous? Me too! ;) Hope you’re having a great time, Holly!! ♥
If you were featured this week and would like to grab a button, feel free to grab this one:

Craft weekend!
Have you heard of craft weekend? It is put on by Meg Duerksen and her friends. A bunch of women (who have never met before) stay the weekend at Meg’s house and..
Make a bunch of cute crafts..
Eat Kimberlee’s amazing food..
Go antique shopping..
Go to happy hour at Sonic..
And get a bunch of swag from AWESOME sponsors..
As you can imagine, a LOT of people want to attend Craft Weekend. There is a waiting list. I emailed a while back to be put on the list, thinking that I would probably never get picked..
Last night before bed I checked my email and there was a message in there from Kimberlee and Meg saying that my name had been randomly chosen to attend!! I almost fell out of my chair.. Not kidding! ;) Micheal and I agreed that this will be my early Birthday present (I go August 3rd, 4th and 5th.. My Birthday is the 26th. :))
Can’t wait to meet you, Meg and Kimberlee (as well as the rest of the girls)!
