Hello! Today I have a super cute idea for photo valentines..
Cake pop photo valentines!!
Do you ever have an idea that you are so excited about, that you cannot WAIT to see it come to life? That’s how these were for me. :) I had so much fun making these!
Want to make some? Here’s what you’ll need:
-Photo with “Valentine, You make my heart POP!” (I use Picnik)
-Craft knife
-Cake pop (See my cake pop tutorial HERE)
Seriously, these are not hard to make at ALL!
All you do is take a picture of your child holding a fist out in front of them. Tip: For younger children, you can have them hold a little flower in their hand, so they aren’t confused as to why Mom wants them to make a fist and take a picture..lol!
Next, open up the picture of your child in a photo editing program or website. I used Picnik. You could also use Photoshop, or even Paint. All you are doing is adding text..
Don’t put your text TOO far down at the bottom or else this might happen:
BOO! I have to fix hers and get more printed..
Now you are going to take your craft knife and cut slits above and below your child’s hand, in the picture:
(I put the red lines to show you exactly where to cut)
All that is left to do is slide your cake pop through the holes you just cut and voila! Cute, right??
Love ‘em! :)
Hope you enjoyed today’s edition of V-Day fun. See you tomorrow!
What a GREAT idea!! So cute! Thanks for sharing!! I might do this with a blow pop too!! Have a great weekend! xo, Reannah
