Hello! Today I am going to show you a fun party idea that can be used any time of year, with any theme or for any holiday. It is a cupcake bar! :)
I hosted this month for a Mommy group that I belong to. I did a cupcake bar – Valentine’s Day style. :)
Wanna see?
Now, the tin things in the front are where the piping bags of icing were supposed to be, but I wasn’t planning on taking pictures, so instead they are on the counter behind where I was standing to take the picture. :) But you get the idea!
The frame is the one you might have seen in this post. I just sanded, primed and painted it. :) My first spray painting adventure EVER, and I must say.. I’m in love. :)
I made the cake stands myself. SO.STINKING.EASY! I just bought a square plate and a clear glass ice cream (I think??) dish and used E6000 to glue the two together and then spray painted. Cost me $5 for one! Love!!
I have to laugh at the empty ramekins.. I bought enough toppings to fill all 12 of them, but when I went looking for the last two, they were no where to be found. If you saw my craft area (where I was storing all of the supplies for the party) right now, you would know why I couldn’t find them. ;)
The cupcake liner “banner” was super easy to make, and I love the way it turned out! All I did was poke a needle through the centers of the liners, then string some twine through them all. I attached the ends of the twine to the back of my frame, and.. Instant cuteness!
And the one last detail of the party that cannot go without mentioning is the cupcake to go boxes..
I saw the idea on Pinterest and had to make them. I started trying to figure out how I was going to measure out where each opening went and then I remembered that I stink at math and measuring..
One of the many reasons I love this man:
He helps me out with all of my crazy ideas. :)
To make those boxes, buy gift boxes (I got mine when they were 75% off after Christmas.. SCORE!) and make sure you get the thin ones! I accidentally got the humungo ones. They still worked, but I would of preferred to have the thinner ones. They got the job done though. :) Thank you dear, for making them!
So what did you think of the party? I’d love to hear your thoughts. :)
Have a Happy Valentine’s Day! I will be posting the 4 remaining days of “14 days of V-Day fun” soon!
Very cute!
